Mr. Rydell is senior counsellor and report director for the Commission and a senior fellow at the Arms Control Association in Washington, D.C. He is currently on leave from his position as a senior political affairs officer in the office of the UN Under-Secretary General for Disarmament Affairs. From 1987 to 1998, he served as a professional staff member for the Senate Governmental Affairs Committee, where he advised Sen. John Glenn on nonproliferation issues.
